Robert W. Reid, born and raised in Lockport, NY, educated at the College of Wooster (Ohio), United Nations, Vienna Institute for European Studies, Columbia University School of International Affairs and New York State Senate Fellowship. He was honored to serve two Senate Majority Leaders including State Senator Warren M. Anderson a Rockefeller Republican. During that time, he drafted and negotiated legislation on a wide range of issues, including energy, environmental, health and social services. In the 1980's Mr. Reid was a Senate staff person and negotiator on environmental and energy legislation including the State’s Bottle Deposit legislation, Environmental Bond Act, allocation of the State’s hydroelectric power, and a variety of other issues. In 1988, Mr. Reid was a lead Senate negotiator involved in the creation of landmark laws to increase Medicaid eligibility levels, provide senior citizens state assistance for prescription drugs (EPIC) and establish the first Medicaid Managed Care law. He was granted several pen certificates for his public service. Today his areas of expertise include health and public health, public transit, home and community-based care, alcoholic beverage law and regulation, campaign finance, corporate tax law and regulation, legislative procedures and legislation regarding the professions. He works with his partners and associates to push the firm and its clients forward in its work in advocacy, public relations, social media, grass roots, and artificial intelligence efforts to achieve the governmental relations goals of the firm’s clients.
